Turisme de Barcelona, in solidarity with the El Sueño de los Niños (Children’s Dreams) association, donated invitations so that children who are in Barcelona for treatment can enjoy a tour of Barcelona with their families and so make their stay in the city easier.
Turisme de Barcelona’s chair, Joan Gaspart, said at the presentation ceremony, “our objective as a promotional consortium is to try to help people who are in our city, for a wide range of reasons, to feel like they are from Barcelona and that they feel at home”. Turisme de Barcelona is committed to an inclusive society and to cooperation with bodies from the third sector.
The chair of the Foundation, Carmen Mur, contacted Turisme de Barcelona to make this initiative a reality and expressed her thanks as it has provided “some breathing space for these families who are going through such difficult times. These are families who have had to come to Barcelona owing to their children’s treatment”.
